Happy House, a new exhibition by Talya Petrillo, prods a sugar-coated reaction to the physically and emotionally aversive. Pulling from autobiographical vignettes, Happy House folds a familiar language of domestic space into a convoluted texture of fluorescent hues and humorous attempts.
Talya Petrillo is a multidisciplinary artist exploring an autobiographical relationship to memory and place. Her work history and academic background in psychology encourage her to reach into a consequence of emotion through an analysis of materials and a dialogue between representational and abstracted form.
Opening November 11 @ 7pm
